Why EnrichZip
All ZIP code data is technically available from the Census Bureau, FEMA, FCC, USDA, and BLS. But pulling it yourself means navigating a dozen different portals, cleaning inconsistent formats, and writing code to join it all together. We've already done that.
Buy, pay, download. No waiting for quotes, no calls with sales reps, no onboarding flow. Your file is ready in under a minute.
Census ACS, BLS, HUD, USDA, FEMA, FCC, EPA, HMDA/CFPB, Census Business Patterns, CDC PLACES, IRS SOI, and geographic reference data — all joined, cleaned, and formatted in a single CSV or Excel file.
Every column has a plain-English name. No FIPS codes to decode, no -999 missing value flags to clean. Open it and start working.
Based on the most recent ACS 5-year estimates. We rebuild the dataset each year when Census releases new data so you always have current numbers.

Data Sources
The foundation of every EnrichZip dataset. The ACS 5-year estimates are the most comprehensive source of ZIP code-level demographic, income, housing, education, and commute data available. EnrichZip uses the 2019–2023 vintage, the most recent 5-year release, published by the U.S. Census Bureau in December 2024. The next release (2020–2024) is expected December 2025.
The FEMA NFHL is the official source for flood zone designations in the United States. FEMA updates the map continuously as communities complete Flood Insurance Rate Map revisions. EnrichZip queries flood zone classifications for every ZIP code centroid and calculates the percentage of area in high-risk zones (Zone A, AE, V, VE, and others), producing a simple flag and risk score you can use immediately without GIS software.
The FCC publishes ZIP code-level summaries of broadband availability from their National Broadband Map. EnrichZip uses the December 2023 release, the most recent annual publication. Includes the percentage of addresses with access to 25/3 Mbps (the FCC's minimum broadband threshold), 100/20 Mbps, and gigabit service.
The USDA Economic Research Service maintains the Food Access Research Atlas, which identifies food deserts across the United States. The current atlas uses 2019 data — the USDA updates this dataset approximately every 3–5 years. EnrichZip maps these census tract-level classifications to ZIP codes, flagging low-income areas with limited supermarket access.
The BLS Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS) program provides county-level unemployment rates that EnrichZip maps to ZIP codes via the Census ZCTA-to-County relationship file. EnrichZip uses 2023 annual averages, released April 2024, adding labor market context — unemployment rate, labor force participation — to the demographic picture from the ACS.
The EPA publishes annual air quality summaries by county, including the number of good days, unhealthy days, and median AQI for the year. EnrichZip uses 2023 annual data, released in 2024, mapped to ZIP codes. Especially useful for real estate, insurance, and health-related research.
FAQ
Yes. All source data is published by US government agencies and is in the public domain under 17 U.S.C. § 105. EnrichZip's value-add is the collection, cleaning, joining, and formatting work — which you're licensing for commercial use with your purchase. You may use the data in client reports, internal models, applications, and business analysis.
The core demographic data comes from the ACS 5-year estimates, which the Census Bureau releases each December. We update the dataset after each release. The current version uses 2023 ACS 5-year estimates (the most recent available as of 2025). FEMA, FCC, and EPA data are updated when those agencies publish new releases.
All packs include CSV and Excel (.xlsx) formats. All formats are AI-ready — you can load them directly into Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI tool without preprocessing.
The dataset covers all ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs) — approximately 33,000–33,800 depending on the vintage. ZCTAs are the Census Bureau's geographic approximation of USPS ZIP codes. Some PO Box-only and military ZIP codes are not represented as geographic areas and are therefore not included.
The State Pack is exactly for that. At $19 per state you get all 138+ columns filtered to your state of interest — typically 200–4,000 ZIP codes depending on the state. All 50 states plus Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico are available.
